The History Center, located in the historic former Ford dealership building in downtown Luverne, features displays of Rock county cities, Rock County government and changing displays on specific historical topics. The Historical Society has developed a massive collection of organized articles, obituaries, and printed materials for public and private research.
The History Center is home to permanent exhibit of Luverne’s famed 5500+ piece nutcracker collection which draws visitors from around the country.
The current featured exhibits include
- "Early Life in Rock County"
- "Stories of our Ten Communities"
- "Memories from the 1950's and 1960's"
- "Dolls through the Centuries"
There is no admission charge but donations to support the Historical Society are encouraged.
Directions and Parking
The new History Center has handicapped and regular parking on site. The parking lot is large enough to accommodate buses/RVs.
